We are supporting albinos in a number of local projects in Tanzania: Mary, Mother of God at lake Victoria, Albino Peacekeepers in Arusha, further, we help districts such as Geita, Sikonge, Urambo and Rukwa as well as a small group of albinos in Kigoma town and the refugee camp Nyagurusu (for Congoloese refugees).
For these projects we send sun lotion and UV protective materials to a total of 430 albinos. Additionally we try to send more lotions with individual travellers. This year we already helped Watato foundation in Usa River.
Together with the NGO Standing Voice, we seek out the albinos in remote areas so that we can also provide them with sunlotion and UV protective materials. The sunscreens we have left, we use to hand them out on international albinos awareness day on the 13th of June each year.
